My bachelor project "Construction Management" 

This is my final semesters bachelor project after 3,5 years (210 ECTS) at the university.
In my bachelor project, I designed and established my own construction company with the aim of learning to independently manage and plan the implementation of the company's professional trade as the main contractor.
The tender area was 3600 m2 of construction of Alborg university hospital, where I was working as an intern for 6 months. My internship placement provided me the tender materials with Revit, AutoCAD, and Solibri model checker files. The idea was to based on tender documents, plan drawings and isometrics, produce fully priced detailed bills of quantities, labor hours and material costs, tracking costs of the designed project of Soil work, Concrete work, Sewage work and Pre fabricated elements mounting work. 
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This includes:

Preparing costs for variations producing monthly valuations Carrying out full construction take-offs, preparing construction cost plan, track costs, labor costs, cash flows and efficiency evaluation Preparing subcontract packages for procurement, contracting and management.


Scrutinization of the project:
Firstly, I check if the project is buildable? Are the drawings, descriptions, and schedules reasonable and fitting together?
Secondly, possible risk areas are investigated with additional drawings/specifications, as well as the incorporation of QA and schedules. Additional information is given further to suppliers and subcontractors accordingly.
After winning the Tender I prepare contracts with the client, subcontractors, and suppliers.
I explained how I solved the task as building site manager, the organization of building site meetings as well as health and safety meetings, preparation of minutes, management of the economy, schedules and quality. I explain how I establish good working environment by cooperation and resolving conflicts internally. Finally, I explain and carry out the handover. This includes preparing the lists of work not carried out, defective work, impairment and writing down of the performance bond and other legal and management aspects of the construction project from start to end.
